Certified B Corporations

I love the non-profit sector and have worked in it ever since graduating college. I am also intrigued in the business sector and how it can merge and be more than just profit and extreme growth plans while still maintaining integrity and high-quality products. Certified B Corporations seem to be one of the best that blends both.

Individually, B Corps meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability, and aspire to use the power of markets to solve social and environmental problems.

Collectively, B Corps lead a growing global movement of people using business as a force for goodTM. Through the power of their collective voice, one day all companies will compete to be best for the world, and society will enjoy a more shared and durable prosperity for all.

A few B Corporations that I enjoy are Patagonia, Miir and Cotopaxi. Could this become a movement that truly blends both the non-profit and business sector?
